On October 26, the three-day 101st China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) officially came to a conclusion at Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center.

All the ten indoor exhibition halls and a few outdoor exhibition sites of the Phase I and II of Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center were used for this event with a total exhibition area of 119,233m2. More than 2,600 exhibitors participated in the event including 760 exhibitors of traditional wine zone, 540 exhibitors of wine and national liquor zone, 580 exhibitors of food and beverage zone, 250 exhibitors of condiments and ingredients zone, 200 exhibitors of food machinery zone, 250 exhibitors of packaging zone and 40 exhibitors of Tianjin special zone.

A major feature of the exhibition is the active participation of local enterprises in Tianjin, which had extensive presence in all exhibition zones besides the 40 exhibitors of Tianjin special zone. According to statistics, totally 165 foods, wine and condiment enterprises of Tianjin attended the event, showcasing the enthusiasm and kindness as the hosts and demonstrating the charm of Tianjin to visitors as the important food production base and consumption market in Northern China with a long history.

The Fair was actively attended by the groups of domestic and foreign enterprises. Organized by the local governments of 11 provinces, autonomous regions and special administration regions or industrial associations, the delegation groups of Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Guangxi, Fenyang, Guilin, Yantai, Liuzhou, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan all attended the event. For foreign exhibitors, the Korean enterprises for the first time appeared in the import food zone in the form of national group. Other national groups such as Southern France, Italy, Chile, etc. exhibited their products in the zones of wine and international liquor, import food and international machinery.

It is the first time for China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) held in Tianjin after China implementation of reform and opening up, and CFDF returned to Northern China market once more after eight years, thus quite popular among traders of Northern China and local people of Tianjin. According to the statistics, more than 60% of professional visitors are from the north of the Yangtze River and the three-day event was attended by more than 300,000 people, a new record of autumn food and drinks events over the years.

Visitors were flooding in the exhibition halls, bringing flow of logistics, information and capital and creating strong trading atmosphere and intention. The exhibitors made use of the excellent platform of CFDF to reach numerous high-quality professional attendants, establish and consummate their marketing systems by extension of market reach. Supported by the huge flow of people and brand exposure of CFDF, they attained the goals of broader promotion of products and brands, more influential corporate images, better business performance and added value to their brands. According to the preliminary feedback of questionnaires to exhibitors, more than 80% of them are satisfied with the event results and the exhibition effect is beyond their expectation.
